Subbaraman: My most joyous moment throughout my 33 years of service in ASI was the profitable execution of my work within the Brihadeeshwara temple, Thanjavur. A large number of artwork objects of different sorts like conventional paintings of the Mysore null painted picket objects, ivories, etc., were conserved and restored by the Centre for Government in addition to personal establishments, besides particular person owners. In 1976, he started work on the mural paintings of Brihadeeshwara temple, Thanjavur, which continued up to the 80s.
